Gidget drawing

This charcoal drawing was done on Strathmore paper prior to the commissioned oil painting. It helped me get to know this sweet face and I liked it enough to include it with the painting. I was lucky to get to work from beautiful reference photos that the client took, who is a talented photographer in addition to being a fantastic dentist!
