This is an oil painting on an 8.5 x 10 inch custom birch panel. The subject is Coach (Coach Beard to be specific) who is one of 5 surviving rescues from an awful case of neglected greyhounds in Oklahoma. The organization responsible for saving these beautiful animals is KC REGAP (Retired Greyhounds as Pets https://kcregap.org). I met him while volunteering for REGAP and fell in mad love with his sweetness - all of them actually. I have entered his portrait into the Trekell Pet Portrait contest this year.
